FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Frequently Asked Questions
When should my child first see an orthodontist?
Around age 7 is a great time for a first orthodontic check. Most children won’t need treatment at this age, but an early visit gives Dr. Coleman a chance to evaluate how their teeth and jaws are developing and determine whether it makes sense to treat, monitor, or simply wait.
How do I know if braces or clear aligners are right for me?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Dr. Coleman will look at your smile, bite, goals, and lifestyle, then walk you through the options that make the most sense for you. You’ll understand the benefits of each before deciding how to move forward.
Do you treat adults?
Yes! It’s never too late to improve your smile or bite. We treat adults with a wide range of needs, from straightforward smile improvements to more complex cases that may involve other dental specialists.
What can I expect at my first appointment?
Your first visit is a chance for us to get to know you—and for you to get to know us. We’ll evaluate your smile and bite, talk about your goals and concerns, and explain any treatment we recommend. You’ll have plenty of time to ask questions, and there’s no pressure to make a decision that day.
How much does orthodontic treatment cost?
The cost depends on your individual treatment needs. Before you begin, our team will clearly walk you through your treatment fees, insurance benefits when applicable, and available payment options. We want you to understand exactly what to expect, with no surprises.
